RESIDENCY CRITERIA
Individuals who meet the basic criteria outlined below may pursue the application, interview, screening, and assessment process. Upon completion of its review, the Admissions Committee will make a determination as to the appropriateness of residency for the applicant.
Applicants for residency at Benedict Haven must:
- Be age 18 or older
- Have a primary diagnosis which is psychiatric
- Be under the ongoing care of a psychiatrist
- Be capable of medication, self-administration, and will to adhere to prescribed pharmacological regiments
- Be capable of living harmoniously in a "community-like" setting
- Have the need and desire to live in a structured environment
- Comply with recommended treatment plans
- Have no significant medical problems
- Be continuously "substance-abuse" free
